The true story of Donna and Rev. WC Martin and their church in East Texas, in which 22 families adopted 77 children from the local foster care system, igniting a movement for vulnerable children everywhere.. Based on the true story of how Rev. Martin and his wife, Donna Martin , at their small church Bennett Chapel in Possum Trot, East Texas, were able to help 77 of the most difficult to place children to be adopted by 22 families. Featured on Townhall: DailyWire+ and Angel Studios Team Up (2024). Breakthrough composed by Sean Philip Johnson. A very well made movie about a story that makes you angry, cry and want to do something all at once. The acting is excellent including all the children, the scenes of violence (or perceived) are not over the top but are real. There were a few times where I felt the scene changes were a bit forced or choppy, but that’s if I’m trying to be picky. They don’t shy away from topics about the church, Jesus' the redeeming love for us and how imperfect we are as humans, including Christians. I loved seeing the real life people at the end that all these characters were based around. Beautiful people, all doing their best in Him.
